ICK Got worse after HYPO?

Hello Everyone, I ran my 180 gallon display tank through hypo last week. Salinity was drop to 1.009. A few days later the ick appeared worse? It didn't appear in the form of salt "grain" but rather a white spots that looks fluffy. Is there a reason why the ick got worse? Does anyone have any experience with this problem? I approach hypo very carefully but now the ick is spreading to the fish that didn't had ick before. I have emperor angel, purple tang, flame angels and a couple of small fish in my tank.

Can you post some pictures? It's possible that you had, or now have fungus or brooklynella or something other than Ich affecting your fish.

Since you are doing hypo, I assume that you removed rock/inverts/substrate, otherwise you would have an ammonia spike. I agree with Rondelet, and would prophylactically medicate with formalin.
