ick or flukes!?

Rough month. Long story, short. Tank leaked, moved fish out, repaired it, moved fish back. For whatever reason, nitrates spiked really high, back down to about 10 - 20 ppm now. A few of my fish now look like they may have ick. They have white spots on them, pale in color, swimming around kinda funny, (shaking and scatching). Someone told me that they think that it may be flukes instead of ick. If so are they similar? How do you treat that?

Flukes and ich look nothing alike. Flukes look like flat clear patches that flap in the current as the fish moves and are very difficult to see unless you look at them at an angle.

A freshwater dip for a minute or two kills them all. You'll see a surprisingly large number drop off your fish. Very easy to treat. I once had a royal gramma that was infested with them. They actually left some scarring.
