ICP interpretation please.

Attached is a friends ICP test results from fauna marine. He is struggling with dying SPS corals tissue narcosis on LPS and sluggish growth. His water params are pretty much on point otherwise.

Its really frustrating to get a read on whats going on?

Reference: the ORANGE is "Cautioned" test results...n,n are not detectable levels.

Aluminum is high. Does he have bio-blocks/spheres? There have been reports that they leach aluminum.

Salinity, temp, pH, alkalinity, lighting and flow will also help with diagnosis.

The units for the elements are in mg/L aka ppm. To convert to percent move the decimal 4 places to the left. Anyhow, sodium seems too low. It should be around 35,000 ppm, not 10658. Basically, increase salt content and he should be fine.

yup he has marine pure spheres... should he remove them slowly? will it affect his reef? should he replace it with live rock? he has man made stuff.

Remove slowly within reason, then add rock rubble to the sump.

If he has a lot of LR in the tank now, and a relatively small bio load,
he can go faster. Less LR, bigger bio load, slower.
