Icthyophonus hoferi, anyone had this problem in their reef tank? Recently had 5 floaters all with in a 4 day period. The yellow tang, still alive, definitely has bulging eyes which I diagnose to be hoferi so I assume this was the problem with the fish that died. All other fish (about 10) look fine. Could it be possible bad frozen food caused this? Or possibly because the filter is located under a beach house and some spores can get airborne landing into the filter? I added a cleaner wrasse and diamond goby a few weeks prior, both are fine and were quarantined for 30 days. Any good input would be greatly appreciated.
