I got this coral a week ago and want to make sure that I give it the proper care. Think it's a Cynarina but wanted to be sure. I have it in the lower third of my tank in a lower flow area with 250 halides. It looks like it's losing a little of it's red color and today I saw it spit some white liquid out of it's mouth (zooxanthellae?). It's mouth stay open for a minute then went back to normal. Should I be concerned or is this normal? Thanks.

put it at the bottom, so it doesnt bleach under the halides. keep little or no flow if you think its health is goin down.

That looks like a java brain to me. It looks a little bleached on the left side so keep it in lower lighting until it starts to colour up and expand a bit more. Try feeding it too.

its actually a trachaphyllia. low light low flow till it starts looking better. if it keeps going down hill put it under a ledge so direct light isnt even getting to it. but its important to feed it frequently until it get back up to health.
