ID Carpet

Mini reds are a solid red with a green/greenish mouth. They also posture like a haddoni. IMO maxis also look "flatter" and have a fringe of slightly longer tentacles on the outside edge of the oral disk.
This is my mini red. It's not a baby haddoni though. It's a mini red, just looks like a baby haddoni:)

Thanks for your help.

I bought this one from a guy who said it was sold to him as a maroon carpet. I just put it in my tank last night so I's not too settled yet but it has a green foot and its body is a light pink, it is small, the size of a quarter right now and it is perched on a small rock. I don't see longer tentacles around the outside but it seems so small to be a true carpet anemone.

Below is a pic from when I bought it, in the other guys tank. In my tank it has not really opened much so I see more foot than anything else and it looks green, also in my tankk the body looks more pink. Can anyone tell me what it is from the pic below?

I have a Nikon Cool Pix P510 but I have never been able to capture true colour with this camera, I will try later. This is my first carpet or mini carpet, its so small and I'm not sure that it is very happy, no gapping mouth but its not opening much.

With a dark green foot like that, I may be wrong but I'm thinking Gigantea carpet. They can be hard to keep, so good luck. It looks a little bleached in that pic, so if it is not doing as well or better, you may be in trouble. Just FYI.

Here it is in my tank, sorry for the poor photography skills but it gives an idea of just how small it is, it is just to the right of the zoas in the first pic

still think Gigantea?

I shut the pumps off and fed mini mysis to the tank to try and get a feeding response but nothing, I also added some glass over her to block some light in case she is bleached. You can't really see color in my photos but green foot looks smooth with pink body/polyps, looks alot more pink then it does in the earlier photo.

Yes, it looks pink with a green foot, this is with all of my daytime T5 bulbs on now. It opened a bit more earlier but now it looks small a closed up again.

Wow that's your daytime lighting? Ok let me put it this way - turn off the lights and shine a flashlight on it. Is it still pink?

The pic is when the led strip and 2 vho's were on but now under my T5's it is still pink but looks shrivled up, I will check with a flashlight later.

New pic, it does not look this blue in person but my camera is set to the least blue setting I can get and still cannot get true color

The anemone is on the move right now. This is day 6 in my tank. Any suggestions, is it still just settling in? Anyone know what it is?

Hopefully someone else will chime in. The only carpet I know of with a green foot like that is a Gigantea, but they only look pink in blue lighting. They are usually green, blue, purple, etc in white lights. Red/pink Gigantea carpets are basically non-existent.

Thanks Bradley, the true colour I see is green foot with purple/pink head/polyps. Earlier today it was facing the back of the tank now its facing the front, I'm tempted to lower it in the tank to see if less light makes it happier.

I contacted the previous owner, the only differences in his tank parameters and mine is my alk is 8 his was 10, he has high nitrates mine are 0 but I have phosphates of .10 his were 0.

That looks very much like a baby giantea. I like to see some close up/clearer pictures of him to be sure

Thanks OrionN, so if it was a baby gigantea is it normal for it the stay so small while adjusting to my tank or should I be concerned. It seems to have moved so that its foot is between the two rocks and it is facing the front of the tank but is still not opening much.
