Black ocellaris. They are an isolated variation of ocellaris originating from Darwin Australia. As stated above, they also appear to be misbarred.

Their faces will get all black as they mature.

They are around 4in the male is about 3.5in I am pretty sure they are alreay matured and they are spawning so I am curious if they are darwins mis bars which im not sure they are why havnt they lost the orange on their face yet?

I think the orange face has a lot to do with diet. I have bought pure black clowns, brought them home, and after a week or so they will get an orange face. It's happened with every one I have bought. Not sure which food it is since I feed such a variety.

I am pretty sure right now they are a misbar version of this:

However, as they get a little older they will turn into this:

I get what you are saying about size and mating but those aren't pre-requisites for black faces or vice versa.

these are my other black darwins, which had a orange face and it has no turned completely black. so the other ones I am thinking must be something different... these guys are younger and smaller at about a little over 3in.

I have heard of the diet being a player in this.. however, nothing special have they been eating, live shrimp and frozen brine and mysis
