They're stomatella snails - great algea eaters. No need to flush them, they're not the ones eating your zoos.

thanks for the response , now i feel safe i did not know they were snails , you learn something new everyday , thanks fellow reefers

yes mickey 57... thats a nudibranch.... there are a couple that dont eat zoos, but many that do eat them... just flush em all

..Thanks.......debating on rather to dump all of these corals..Acans,ricordia & the zoos that they came in on.What do you guys think.....This pic is of them in my Q tank,They have been in here for 2 weeks....I would sure be ****ed if I infested all my tanks for these corals were to be going in different tanks:mad2:

Ooops.. these pictures didn't show up for me the first time I loaded the page. This one does look like a nudi unlike the first pics...

Dip it! Dip it!

You know, I get great satisfaction out of dipping newbie frags now. It's awesome to see the much hated zoa eaters die in Lugols/FW. Very satisfying. Almost as good stress relief as watching my panther grouper eat. LOL

mickey-

I work at an lfs and we had some similar nudis on a few rocks of zoos for weeks and could not get rid of them then we added a few mandarins and they took care of that problem like a champ

good luck

...Thank Yall,I have gotton rid of 8 so far.All I have read though................nealy impossible to get rid of them...but since these are containd in a Q-tank...weee shall see what happens.I will try the lugols but putting one of my dragonettes in there is out of the question;)

No way would I dump an Acans... or a zoa... lol

For the record, my mandarin is a crazy little hunter. MUAH! to the mandarins for keeping tanks relatively safe from critters...
