ID fish

New to the hobby, first fish ever.

Got this clown from a reef display tank at a LFS. He's about 2 inches now. Of the many clowns in the store, only this one appealed to me. It looks like a maroon clown. I'm thinking of getting another one to pair. I know how difficult it is to pair these clowns from my reading.
All the labelled maroons that I saw in the store are much darker than my fish.

Can someone help me to ID my little guy.

I am almost guessing it's a clarki, it deff isn't a maroon though.

Thanks for your input Forgive my ignorance but I thought that Clarkii have some yellow and black to it. Mine is all dark orange. That's why I thought it's a maroon.

Mine looks like the tank bred gold band maroon but have white and not gold stripes.

I'm so confused.

That is an oddly dark clarkii clownfish, it almost looks like a maroon clownfish but the face is that of a clarkii

Looks like a hybrid or something. My LFS has "maroonellaris" clowns that look pretty similar.

most likely a cross between maroon and clarkii.

I think i have seen this fish before. The ones i saw was a clarki x maroon mix. same body

Thank you everyone. Just my luck that I have to go for the unusual fish. Does this mean that getting mine to pair is not possible since it's a hybrid? If I want to try to pair, should I go for a Clarkii or a maroon? Thanks again. BWT, I'm in CA.

Almost all clownfish will pair with any other species.. IME.. so you should be fine

Nice looking clown, but I would be worried if he dont help too much with aquascaping
