The animal is from Bali and 14 mm big. I found it in a piece of Rock and i think it is a Chorisquilla spinosissima but im not shure. It can also be Chorisquilla hystrix. Here are some pics. I hope Dr. Roy can help me with the ID. Thanx.

Have you ever seen a total white Gonodactylellus viridis?
It is a very nice color morph.

Timmy,

I've never seen an albino gonodactylid. It is more than a color morph. It would appear to be totally lacking colored pigment.

I will have to go with hystrix. The color pattern is correct and I think I can see carinae on the 5th abdominal tergite. This is a secretive species that usually lives below 10 m in cavities in coral rubble. They are quite common on Lizard Island.

Now I'm confused. It does not have the dorsal AS5 carinae typical for C. h, but I do see a midline dorsal carina that is not supposed to be there for C. s. There is an undescribed species from Japan that Ahyong reported he was working on. On the other hand, the color says C. h. C. h is known from Eastern Indonesia. I checked Erdmann's reports on Indonesian stomatopods. At the time that he wrote his thesis, Manning had combined both species into C.s. Given the size range reported by Erdmann, I think his material included C. s (which is bigger). Best guess is that it is C. s or something undescribed.

Wow, very interesting. It is a dream to find a undescribed species.
Please let me know if you need high resolution photos.

I don't sell mantis shrimps. I collect mantis shrimps from live rocks in a marine fish shop in germany. They import about 100 Kilo live rocks a week and i search for mantis shrimps, crabs, slugs and other creatures.
