I posted this in the newbie forum but nobody seems to know what it is.. I'm beginning to think it's the back end of something that got half eaten. 
The segments seem to be swelling/receeding but not visibly, ie I don't see any movement but the pictures from today/yesterday look different. It doesn't react to being touched with a plastic scraper.
What it looks like today:

More of a macro shot, from yesterday.
Any ideas? I've gone through Reef Invertebrates and several id sites, can't really tell if it's a worm or eggs or..a space alien.
