These guys are popping up everywhere, this one is now about an inch tall

Aiptasia, pest anemone. You'll need to inject it with either a commercially available aiptasia killer or you can use lemon juice, boiling water, or some kalk slurry.

Being that they're on the sand though, just use a siphon and remove those things with the quickness. Piece of cake.

Whenever possible manual removal is better than buying a new creature to control another. Those look easy to remove. Peppermint shrimp may or may not work. As mentioned a siphon will. But if they are growing on the sand they are likely elsewhere.

Hi solo, not so much on the sand but all over rocks and landscape, used to have peppermints but picked up a baby crab that grew and wasnt so cute anymore, after eating over half my invert stock he had to go much to the kids disappointment, so will be nice to grt a shrimp back in there.

Yes a shrimp may or may not be effective. They are unlikely to remove all anemones. A better bet is to remove each infested rock one at a time and kill them off. They are really tough to get rid of in the tank.

My suggestion as always is to order some new dry rock. Then start swapping out.
