id help please

Im not sure what this is , at first i thought it was an aiptasia so i removed it , i have it in a container and it looks like a zoa polyp when its closed up but open looks like the photo , has 6 large "arms" and several smaller "arms". when it was in the sandbed it would close up when approached . Dont know if its good or bad or what it is. Thanks for the help

It looks like some sort of pest anemone to me. Throwing it away is probably your best bet.

If you have someplace to keep it isolated, it'd be cool to see what it grows up to be! It doesn't really look like either an Aiptasia or Mojano sp to me.

From the links below it looks like there's quite a few different types of Aiptasia. I'm guessing the location from which they come is what sets them apart.

the more i look at it i think it may be a baby cup coral

Does it have any sort of texture to it at all? If it just feels like snot in between your fingers then it's probably just an Aiptasia.
