I have no idea what this is, but i have a clicking noise in my tank. I have looked through and through, can not find a thing. Any ideas what will make this snapping/clicking noise?

Most likely a pistol shrimp hitchhiked in. Rarely seen, always heard LOL.

With this clicking noise, possible pistol shrimp, would i be good to go on stocking my tank? I thought maybe another mantis, but didnt know if they made clicking noises. The tank is only a 7 gallon... Thank you for the help

Mantis can and do make clicking noises. The species most often found in TBS rock, N. wennerae, is diurnal so try looking for it when your lights are on. If you do have a mantis eventually it'll poke its head out where you can see it.

My experience with the Gulf pistol shrimp is that they click and pop day and night. They also don't seem to bother anything, at least not that I've noticed.

I have a few rocks that still click and pop at night, and this is rock I got from Richard in March, 2003!
