Hey guys, Just came home and noticed my Clownfish (male) has black(maybe brown or dark red) spots popping up on his sides. Need a little help with ID'ing what it is and how to treat.
1. How old is this aquarium? Just about 9 months now.
2. If less than six months old, what is ammonia level? N/A but ammonia is 0
3. What is SG of this aquarium? How measured? 1.025 measure by refractrometer
4. When was the last fish added to this aquarium? The last fish added was the clown pair about 7 months ago
5. Was it quarantined? If so, how? And how long? Was it prophylactically treated? How? Both clowns were QT'd for 1 month in a separate 10 gallon, not treatet, just observed
6. If you are using a copper based medication, which one? How often do you measure level? When? N/A, Coral in tank
7. If you are using hyposalinity, how did you calibrate your refractometer?
8. Please describe in detail, the appearance of the fish? If there is one or more pimples, are they lumpy? What color? No notice of bumps but dark spots popping up along his sides
9. Please describe the behavior of the fish as best you can. Is it acting reclusive? Is it always up towards the top of the aquarium? Is it avoiding light? How active is the fish? He seems to be very normal. I haven't noticed any change in behavior
10. Is the fish eating? What? Still eating just fine. Feeding with Ocean Nutrition Formula 2 pellets and mysis. Also supplementing the food with seachem vitality.
