I just brought a new addition home today (a Euphillia) and just as I'm spotting the rockwork and where to put him, I spot this curious little sea slug!

What kind is it?

Hostile to my corals?

What shall I name him/her? :)

Stomatella :)

If there's a little sort of half-shell just covering most of it's back then it's probably a stomatella and an excellent addition to your cleanup crew. Those guys go through green patches in my tank faster than any other snail I've tried. If it's a snail, that's an awesome find!

I believe I have one of those in my aquarium too :D It was a hitchiker.. Mine seems completely harmless, and like a snail with a flat shell. I would say that it is completely safe.

Thanks to everyone.

Yea, I actually had a friend ID it right before I took off to run some errands.

He doesn't seem to have a shell, but it might just be that small.

Glad to hear it's reef compatible and a good algae eater, because I have plenty of it!

Yea that definitely looks like a stomatella, I have a few of them but never seen one stand up like that or look quite so fat.
