I am wanting a mantis shrimp, and some one I talked to said there are two types of Hunting styles like, crushers and spearers? They said the crushers will are less likely to break the glass is this true.

What species of mantis is least likely to break the glass. Send a link were I can buy this species.
Stomatopoda is comprised of many many species and are split into two groups usually referred to as spearers and smashers. the vast majority of spearers and smashers are incapable of cracking glass. however there are a few smashers who can. You just have to be aware of what they are. Now, before we can advise you on what might be a good choice, can you tell us about the system you plan on putting the mantis in?
