Got this at my LFS and really loved the colors. They only had a few and they told me they were fairly rare/ the last breeder in the Seattle area left his last crop with them before moving. Pictures aren't great but it is a very vibrant neon green/purple. they called them Nuclear Mushrooms.

its also pretty shrunk up. but I'm assuming that's because its been handled a lot in the past few hours.

Looks like some kind of ricordia to me, sure someone else will chime in soon with more experience, very nice mushroom though, id definitely want one ;)

yeah I wish I could get a better picture. It's stunning, and I've never seen one like it before. Cant wait for it to open up.

Yes it could be a Ricordea. Please turn off the actinic (blue) lights and then take the picture. Can't really tell what it is from those pictures.

That does look like a hairy mushroom. Definitely not Ricordea. The bulbs look like there is 3 mouths open.

So this could mean there is validity around them saying they are rare. Normally I take that with a grain of salt and chalk it up to a salesman's pitch. But so far I've not seen any that look identical to this specimen.

Went to the LFS and he said that it's a hairy mushroom, and that its splitting so that's good news I suppose

If anyone's still following this thread, I discovered another bell thing/ new mushroom polyp on the underside of the LR I was given. Apparently these specific guys are fairly rare as another store owner told me today.

I agree with hairy mushroom but those three white things in the middle look more like heads from a LPS coral. Or are they really mouths? Have you tried feeding the three heads, or mouths whatever they are?
