That's a bad one. It's Ophiarachna incrassata, also known as the Green Death Star" Here's what Ron Shimek had to say about it in his book "Marine Invertebrates":
"...has been documented to eat firefishes, damselfishes, mandarinfishes, blennies, small gobies, cleaner wrasses, cleaner shrimps, and crabs."

It creeps up on sleeping fish at night, or stands with the body elevated & drops down on anything foolish enough to move under it.

I have the same brittle star and I have never have problems. It lives under a rock and only comes out when I feed. I guess Ron Shimek just had really bad luck with his star cause I have sold many of those in the store we also have some in out store reef display tank, a few of those in each of the employee's home tank and no one have had any bad experience with these guys.

I have heard mixed reviews on these things , but here is my one time experiance. In the first night in a 30 gallon reef tank a large star ate a large gold headed sleeper. I removed it and gave it back to my LFS. That was about three years ago and I have'nt messed with them since.
