long story short, i bought 2 anemones for my clowns & placed on opposite ends of the tank.

they have chosen the rose bulb

this guy, they never went near, except to try & cover it with sand :rolleye1:
can't find any info on this little guy...

his foot is the same color as the main color or his tentacles (not red)

also, this picture was taken with my phone - he is much much brighter. fuschia, really. ideas? thank you!!

a condy, really? well, phooey. I was under the (wrong) impression that they always had a red foot.

New question now, should I get this guy out of my 130g reef tank?
Am reading that he'll travel & sting :(

My husband has a 24g at his office with only an eel in it. Perhaps this beautiful nem will be better off there?

Not all condy's have a red foot. People say the same thing about LTA's, but not all of them have a red foot either. You can't really use the color of the foot to ID these species. Shoot, even malu can have an orangish red foot.

Any anemone can move and sting corals. Once a Condy finds a good hole in the rocks to hang out in, they don't move very often. I've had them stay in the same hole in a rock for years. It may take them a little time to find that spot though. I wouldn't put the condy in a 24. Some of them get quite large. I guess that's where they got the name gigantea.;) They may not be host anemones, but they are still cool critters, and as far as anemones go, they are very easy to care for.

Thanks for the advice. I'll just keep him in the 130g for now. I dug through the sump and found a nice rock with a hole big enough for him. Our tank has a very open space aquascape - I've put the new rock in an area that looks good & gave him an 'island'. Maybe this will discourage travel. I'll wait to move him until after the lights go out tonight.

If this doesn't work out, there is a 55 in our bedroom (yes, we have a tank in our room - hopeless) with no other anemones or clownfish we can move him to.

Thanks again, for the help!
