Id on this "wanna be" scallop

I have found a new item in my tank.

Looks, acts, swims like a scallop. However it has NO shell.

It loves romantic visits in the dark, and is bashful when lit up... LOL

Anyways I would love some feed back.

it looks like aiptasia. does it actually move around in your tank? aiptasia stays in one spot although it will spread. bad, bad, bad, nasty thing to have in your tank. search the forums, you will find any number of ways to get rid of it...lemon juice, boiling water injected into it, a product called "aiptasis x".

I don't think it's aiptasia. I do think it has a shell. I don't think it will hurt anything

How long have you had this scallop? I'm really interested to figure out the longetivity and hardiness of scallops. It seems like the ones we get in (flames) tend to usually starve or die off like crinoids.. however one report of a random hitchhiker just thrived without any additional care, and this one appears to be doing well, aswell.
