Yup, if he's not an Elysia he's a close relative. Algae eater.

googled Elysia Sp. and would have to say its a positive id.

is this thing toxic when it dies?? do i need to supplement feeding with nori strips?? etc?

cute little critter would like to keep him.

Not toxic, I think they only eat bryopsis.

Lots of them eat bryopsis, as Calappidae says. Some of them will feed on other algae, too. If you have a good bit of greenery in the tank, it should do fine. I doubt it would be able to eat nori. Not toxic, but they tend to just disappear in a tank and never be seen again. They can get blown around pretty easily also, as they aren't very "sticky."

It's not a lettuce but it is a species of Elysia.
