i noticed this bubble over the mouth of my hammer, is this what it does when it splits? its open bigger than most days since ive noticed it...

if you look most of the heads are flat and long just not in a u shape like the ones in that pic.. maybe its a hybrid but i think it looks more like a hammer than a frogspawn

the only reason i would say its not a hammer, is that the hammer i have, and have seen only have one tip per tentacle. theres several Euphyllia species on the market, Euphyllia ancora is another that can look real similar, as well as Euphyllia glabrescens AKA Torch Coral. i guess if you say it looks like a hammer, since you can see the entire coral, then we will go with that.

I agree it's a frog. I don;t think hammers have multiple heads per tentacle.
