ID Please (asterina?)

I found these on a T. Crocea clam I picked up at the LFS. He's in the quarantine tank. So far these stars haven't touched the mantle and seem content to remain on the shell. Nonetheless, they have me quite nervous.

What are these little guys? Maybe 1/8 to 1/4 inch.
What do they EAT? I hope it isn't clams.

It sounds like most of these species are not a threat, but some can eat soft or hard polyp corals. Plus I guess they can breed like crazy. I'll probably remove them one at a time before putting the clam in the main tank.

I need some other kind of food for my harlequin insted of buying $7 stars. And I can never find Asterina's in my tank.
