I am going to go with Non-Photosynthetic on this but I could be wrong. I just know a frag of this has survived in another tank with the lights out for about a week and a half, sometimes it has polyps other times it does not, sometimes they show at night sometimes during the day. If anybody has an idea what it is called please let me know. For now I'm calling it my super coral because it has surived at least 2 tank crashes in the past 5 years.

I don't think it is Blue Ridge coral, I've had that before and they grow thick this is thin and plate like similar to a Montipora but it's not a monti.

Why not yours?
My own growing like a ball. And now their grow "horns" like a Montipora digitata

hmm okay maybe it is then. :) I was hoping it was something cooler. The last piece I had died off on me fast so I figured with this thing never dying it was something different. Well it is still a great piece! If you were not in Germany I would send you a frag of it for IDing it for me lol.
