There was an allardi in the tank with it. The allardi appeared to be wild caught and had the juvenile allardi "wiggle" along with large swoosh of white on the top of it's caudal fin. This fish doesn't seem to wiggle like a juvi allardi and has a very minimal amount of white on the caudal. I'm leaning towards bicinctus and that's part of the reason I bought it, since wild caught individuals are very hard to come by these days. I don't know if this fish is wc but it appears to be and if it is cb it is a very high quality fish. On a side note the Petco had just got 4 beautiful Red Sea purple tangs which leads me to lean towards bicinctus as well.
judging by how close the head band is to the eyes, and knowing where petcos tend to get their fish, im going to lean towards a sustainable aquatics CB bicinctus....
Thanks for the input and the video guys. Yes I am very familiar with the appearance of both juvenile and adult allardis. I have owned several in the past and have always admired them. Despite all that, this guy seems a little different. It may very well be allardi and chances are it probably is one. I guess time I'll tell.
