Heteractis magnifica

Heteractis magnifica

It is H. magnifica, often called "Mag" or Ritteri (an old species name). Looks nice! They can really crawl around, but seem to like to be high up on a flat rock with strong lighting and good water flow. I feed mine mysis shrimp weekly.

Good luck!

Thanks all. Yes he big about dinner plate size. I bought him with the rock he was on in the other owners tank. I did not want to stress him out any more then I had to by taking him off. I wouldnt try to feed him for a week or so. I thought he was a mag but his tenticles seem to be alot bigger then the ones I have seen on here so was not sure. He is in very high flow with 2 MP40's on on either side of tank. He has not moved yet.

How much did you buy it and the rock for?

Funny thing was he said that it was not forsale! He said he had it for over a year in his DT. I worked him as everything is forsale and has a price plus I really wanted it. I paid 260 bucks with the rock.
