Here are some photos of a Female watanabei that has something on her tail. No other fish are infected in the QT. She acts normal and eats well. No rapid respirations. No scratching, twitching or darting about. Only on her tail. Other than this she is totally healthy. The spots seem to be in clumps and appear to be on the surface.

My first though is lymphocyte virus but it has worsened in the last few days.

What are your impressions and ideas for treatment?

Here is a photo of a scale scraped from the tail, at 300x. Looks to be covered with bacteria or spores.
