these were the best pictures i could get

OH! i've seen something very similar somewhere.....

twon8, if you read this, think of the BIG display tank at FW. there are a couple of these in there if you look hard enough.

unless i'm totally off, i think they are a type of button polyp. pretty cool looking if you ask me. nice find! not very common IMO.

Yeah, I still think they are some sort of Proto (similar to what I've seen labeled as P. psamaphilia (sp?)). Can you get a close shot of the oral disc? The radial lines seem to be a common trait among the buttons I've seen that look like that one.

well about 3 years ago it was a hitchhiker on a large piece of LR
and i set another small piece of LR next to it hopeing it would reproduce onto the rock(i thought i would have a alim chance)
but within a month there was another one on the rock
i knew it wasnt apitasia so i plopped it at the top of the tank
and they grew from there

i dont have my camera and the only thing i can use is a piece of crap so i will take another or the oral disc when i get my camera back

Yes I definitely think that is a type of protopaly....very unusual coloring there with the multiple shades of green and a sweet find!
