I have millions of these and trying to determine what they are. Basic pest posts don’t show anything.

They are paper thin, get a max of 3mm wide and are hard, they blow around like sand and cover it almost entirely and do go up the bottom of rocks a little.

Look up foraminifera, not sure what size these things are in your tanks, but the "shell" looks correct.

Good catch, I had completely forgotten about those.
