Nassarius Snail?
they will eat feather caulerpa, which typical nassarius snaill will not do.
thanks

Not sure what it is; but, it's not common for a reef snail to eat caulerpa.

IPSF Strombus Grazers http://www.ipsf.com/reeftanktuneup.html look just like these snails and hang out on the glass; but, from my experience, they just eat the algae that grows on the glass.

Besides caulerpa, does it eat other macroalgaes?

Does it reproduce in your tank? If so, it could be a great little snail to add to a clean up crew and others will want some.

I'm sure within a few hours someone will have a better idea of its name for you.

Best of luck,

Roy

That's a columbellid, probably Euplica scripta. Depending how big he is and whether he came from somewhere other than the Pacific, he could be one of a couple other species of dove shell.

Cheers,

Don
