ID please!

Sorry I really should have circled what I talking about but there is a worm like creature between the sand and the rock. It protrudes out of the sand and seems to extent itself but thinning out its body. It moves like a worm but has the appearance somewhat of a sponge. The only thing I've added recently is a marron clown from a friends tank. Thanks guys!

How fast do they reproduce? I've had four pop up in a week! Also do cucumbers stand on their back foot? These things never move about the tank - just stay sticking out form under the rock or protuding from the sand!

Is it pinkish color with white cactus like bristles down the sides?

If so it is most likely a bristle worm, pretty much harmless fish poop eaters. Scavengers.

They will reproduce fast and eventually be borderline infestation, but you will really only see them at night and feeding times. Or when you move rocks.
If you touch one the tiny "Bristles" will break off in your skin, and while they don't usually hurt they can cause an infection, so best to get them out, and wash it really well with hot water.

No I dont this its a bristle worm, its the same colour (color) as the sand almost! The seem almost like a cross between a sponge and a worm and they are very extendable and when they extend they get really thin!

I was talking to the guy I got my clown off today and he said he never had anything like that in his tank!

smooth? kinda mottled color? Maybe a peanut worm?

Anyways a better picture might help. Maybe try to grab one and put him in a cup to take a picture.

Cuces have not been reported to breed in tanks (if it is a cuce)..

Depends what you mean by breed.. Eggs and fertilization?

They do multiply though... i have had them do it in my tank and I know several other people who have had them do it too... Never seen them do it but I am guessing fission/splitting.

Seems to look like bristle to me.. I just bought myself an arrow crab and I NEVER see them anymore, BUT the arrow tries to steal food from everybody!
