ID please..

i bought some base rock from my LFS and it has what i guessed to be blue, and yellow/orange algae on it. can you guys help me out?

this pic was taken after i washed it with hot water and scrubbed it with a new sponge. do you think its ok to put in my tank? or should i scrub all of it off?

Looks like lichen to me - that's a piece of lace rock from your LFS, no? I'm not sure how it would do in saltwter, but freshwater generally has no problems with it being on the rocks... but when it comes to even lace rock in SW, I have heard people argue...

Is it live rock? Coralline algae can come in blue. It is rare and sought after.

It's lichen - that's a fungus... I don't know if it would be okay to put in saltwater... you might want to remove it just to be on the safe side.
