ID small blue hitchiker starfish, please?

I noticed it a couple days ago but it was a single arm then and I assumed it was a dead zoa. I see it moving around today with a second whole arm and a third coming in.

He's resting between the two plugs

Huh. Looks like an asterina, but I've never seen a blue one. Leave it in and let it do its thing, it looks awesome. Asterinas can be reef safe or not, depending on the species. Never heard of a blue one.

Yeah, asterina. Most are harmless, some eat corals and coralline. Your call on what to do with it.

Like above said they can be harmful or harmless. They usually are harmless but most asterina's harmless or not can multiply and become difficult to manage in large numbers.
