Hello all,

this is a picture of our Shrimp that came with the second shipment.
He has the same claws like our "old" Pistol Shrimp, but his colors are totally different.
His body is brown, with a yellow stripe down his back.
The claws are a bright orange.
And the legs and tentacles are bright blue!

Any ideas??

Thanks
Manuela

wow, that is a nice pistol shrimp

most of my pistol shrimp at green or grey

that one looks nice, congrats

Thank you Tlouie,

I have two "normal" looking pistols too, they seem to be a mated pair since they share a rock.
But this orange guy lives in a seperate rock ;)

Hi Delta,
I went through all my books, and all the online sites that I know of, but I haven't found anything similar in color to our guys :(

Reefs.org has an ID forum. There're a couple of regulars there who can generally ID things to latin names impressively well. The one most reliable ID'er is, I think, at a conference this week, but if you post your pictures (esp. Manuela's) next week, you might get a good ID.

Now you know my secret. I post pictures there, get an ID, and report here :D

I have one of those that came on the TBS. He actually started out as a colorless juvinile and has grown to full size like that.
