My guess is Acanthurus dussumieri. BTW, that's an absolutely beautiful queen angel there too!

Could be an A. bariene too. That is also called a black-spot surgeon and I think I see a black spot by his tail.

That a Dussumieri tang but it doens't have it full adult colors. They get pretty large, mine is close to 14" and they're not very aggressive but they do control a tank. They're usually pretty expensive. I picked up a small one recently that was not doing well, almost ready to die, for $14 but it was labeled wrong.

This is a great fish to get by the way, but you need to have the room for it as they do get large.

its a cuviers surgeonfish a.k.a. ocean surgeon. they grow to be about 35 cm in the wild, but the size would differ by a long shot in the aquarium.

I agree ..it looks like a Dussumieri's surgeon because of the rounded nose and dark gill plate. It's just starting to get it's yellow adult coloration...they grow large.

It's a Dussumieri tang no question about it. I've had mine for over 10+ years.

The Fish Finder where did you see it? It looks like it in a LFS.

FishTown in Queens get small ones in that are labeled as Lavender Tang from time to time. The bring in a bunch of them and every once and a while they get one that a Dussumieri tank.
