I've always thought the posters were geared toward the "in-crowd". To be hung up in Pet shops where most people know what a "Frag Swap" is.
I think we need some posters that explain a little more what the CRVC is, and why YOU may want to come to a meeting.
Then we can hang them up in more places and maybe find some new converts.
