Ideas on keeping a lobster?

I was in the store tonight and walked past some lobsters, I thought it would be cool to have one.

I did some research and came up with some info that people do actually raise and keep lobster in there own aquariums. Im not looking to raise them from there larva state, but want to get a smaller one from the store and see what happens.
The Lobster would be going in my 125, I already have the filtration system I would need to house one and care for it.

I know they should be kept in temps between 65 and 75 degrees, and have a constant PH of 7.8 to 8.4. They like caves and caverns to live in, and liverock wont be a problem to give them there own shelter. I would only be keeping one as they have a tenancy to eat one another unless there claws are banded.

My main question is, has anyone here kept one, have pics? What are you ideas on this? I would like to hear your input.

there was a thread with a guy keeping one in an outdoor homemade tank. Never heard anymore. They wont do all that well in warm water

If it is the lobster with the big claws (not the tropical spiny lobster), it is a coldwater species, like down to 34°F. You'd probably want to keep your water below 65°.
Look around on the internet though, there was some experimental aquaculture going on with them.
As for finding a small one, I don't know that you will since there is a minimum size for harvest / collection and it may illegal to possess a "short" lobster. Just my two cents' worth!

If your talking about the North American Lobster, sometimes called Maine Lobsters, I've kept plenty in the Lab 75 F is pushing their top limits, I wouldn't recomend anything over 68 F for long term, cooler is better. Lots of good hiding places, keep the Calcium levels up, and feed them a variety of fresh or frozen seafood.
