Ideas you'd like the club to consider

So there's not much time before the meeting to discuss here but if you can think of things you'd like to see the club to consider doing to support the members, please post here and/or bring up at the mtg.

Some things I've thought of:
-bring back the door or raffle prizes- someone has a roll of raffle tickets or we can buy one. The club's treasury can buy something like carbon, salfrit kit, etc and we can raffle it off. Only those interested in the prize would buy tickets so sometimes the treasury would loose money and sometimes it would make money. I'd rather it loose a little money overall.

-have the club buy all the ingredients for coral dips and re-sell it in a per use/dip quantity "at cost" to members on an as needed basis.

-have the club buy one of those light meters for members to use to measure their par. And any other rarely used tests/meters that make sense to have but cost prohibitive to an individual.

-maybe a community UV so someone could use it during an ich outbreak or something

Can you think of anything else? Lets get it out there to consider.

ok I just bought a light meter on ebay and it is the Milwaukee SM700 and if anyone wants to use it just let me know I will be happy to share oh and you can put this one in the water it is water proof

I'd hope it's waterproof... otherwise it would be worthless to reefers. So you are willing to loan it to... "Joe", next month's new member?

I like the idea of the bulk dip distribution theme and doorprizes. It is always fun to walk away with something.
Also I would like for the club to do more group buys. At the beginning of each month decide where and what type of buy will happen such as dry vs. livestock. People will have 10 - 14 days to decide if they are in and have the order sent on meeting day. People could also take turns ordering the goods and picking them up.
Or on the meeting thread have people post FS or WTB instead of only Art and Mel listing their goods.

How about a tank cleaning service??? I have some coralline that needs to be scraped off the sides of my tank... Oh for that matter I also have some powerheads needing dipped in vinegar...

In all seriousness though, I'm all for more group orders...

What if we held a quarterly or twice yearly frag swaps among members? Choose specific months such as November and April so it does not clash with the swaps in January and August from other clubs. This way people frag what they have and give others a choice to request such as WTB frogspawn etc. This could also happen at the same time as an online group order.
