Mr. Manty
New member
I've had this mantis shrimp for a little over a week now. Yourfishstore.com whom i purchased him from listed it as a Colored Mantis shrimp which looked similar to the peacock mantis shrimp in their photos and after contacting them i was even told that they were the same species. Now that i have him, he is very obviously NOT an O. scyllarus.
I still want try and keep him, but he stopped accepting food after the third day
and now remains inside a little conch shell and never comes out. No food will coax him out even though he was accepting the same shrimp with vigor the first three days.
He has not put any rubble in front of the entrant of the shell and he even came out last night and roamed a bit so i dont know if he is molting.
But here are some photos from last night, please help me identify him and feed him!
