Identification Please!

I know this isn't necessarily the proper channel for a thread like this, but I don't think it's taking away from anything. Nor is this image going to win photo of the year..


These appear on my glass periodically.

Diatom? I didn't think they could get even close to this big... about 4mm across.

not completely sure, but I believe its a hydroid.

ah of course, that would make sense. Their symmetry is pretty impressive.
