Early thread below on the larger variant presumed to be S. tapetum. I have had a bunch for quite a few years, amount of red on the foot/column varies, but all have had it to some degree matching the photo's provided, most precisely.
This picture shows the bottom up red splotchy view of one stuck on the glass:
Another picture in that thread shows a picture, but the red markings appear washed out by the flash.
Other then that, you can take my ID as a long time owner of a bunch of them as valid or discard it; I have been wrong before
fwiw: Once it buries the column into a crevice, don't expect to see those spots, they tend to snuggle into rock and lay out flat when presented proper conditions.
