So I left for work at noon on Friday. At around 2 I got a call from my room mate that power had been out for about an hour. I told him to keep me updated, and an hour later he called me back saying it was on. For whatever reason when it went back out a few hours later he decided to text me instead of calling the work phone. I don't check my cell at work. When I got home at 10pm the temp in the tank was 68. I promptly called my boss and told her I was moving the tank to work. I'm planning on leaving it there for the time being because it makes a nice display.

Today a co-employee asked me if I could frag my xenia for him. I reached into the tank and split the rock it was on at a weak spot, removing one of the stalks. As I set it in a new spot to rest for a few days I noticed a small red spot next to one of the polyp heads. I rubbed my finger across it and Surprise, a red planaria flatworm. What an awesome week it's been.

Does anyone know if Flatworm Exit damages anything else in the tank? I only found two of the flatworms after combing over the entire colony, I removed them via pipette but plan on dosing Flatworm Exit anyway. I was also wondering if anywhere in the Syracuse area sells it, was thinking ABC Reefs.

I used it maybe six weeks ago. I think it is a fantastic product. If you read up on it many people will say to siphon out any visible flatworms and dose slightly more than recommended (~110%), though I don't know if either would be required for you given the ostensibly small population. Definitely be ready to run new carbon and do a big water change following.

I actually headed out and got some from Fairmount Aquarium. Thanks for the offer though sedoru. My tank is at Pet depot if you want to check it out, it's a modest lil thing and my filter and skimmer are hang on back, but I like it.

take out any star fish if you have any,or serpent stars! It seem to kinda paralise and or kill them. And when i used it i did about 150% of the recommended level. Better to get them the first time, and make sure they die. And deff run carbon and have water on hand to do a water change. In my 120 gallon i did a 45 or 50 gallon water change i think. Better safe than sorry!!

I think it stunned my Nassarius Snails, they all fell off the rock and glass, and when I did a large water change immediately pepped back up.
