If you could have any zoanthid...

Wow... didn't realize the Dragon Eyes were that rare/tough to keep.

I have a nice colony of super bringht ones that are growing like crazy.

the ones I'd love to be able to keep (long term) are:
Hawiaan Sticky punch
Darth Maul
Blue Steel

XMEN, BPE's, RPE's, OPE's, Rasta's, Jokers, Blue Hornets (purple just aint my color lol), LE AIM Star Fox paly, and just about every other zoa/paly I don't already have :D

But if I had to narrow it down to 1 I would say XMEN, because their dark color makes them different then alot of other zoa's. Haven't seen much that looks even similar to them, unlike alot of others that have a similar "knock off" lol

Its gotta be a tie for me between Dragon Eyes and the Jokers.

I got some Dragon Eyes and they were doing great, over the past few days they seem to be struggling though. Some of the polyps have turned brown and are kinda wilting away. I moved the colony a couple days ago into a little more turbulent area and they seem to be making an improvement but still arent opening very much.

Random side note, I had 2 colonies spawn in my nano and the result isnt horribly vibrant, but having something that has spawned out of my tank is AWESOME! Its still just a tiny single polyp I hope it grows out. Will post some pics when I get home from work.
Not to get off subject but what did they do to spawn?

Dont mean to hijack... Im not really sure what happened that made them spawn. I came home one day and looked at my tank and was ***?! The only two polyp colonies I had were spitting out little white puffs of stuff, lookied kinda like smoke.

Here is a pic of the parent colonies and the resulting spawn!

Sweet. Would have been cool to get it on video.

*sigh* I know, I know. My buddys a marine biologist and says its a very rare event to observe in captivity. I thought he was gonna to strangle me when I said I hadn't caught it on camera.

dragon eyes rare ?

Yes and no, a few years ago they were everywhere. now no where to be found at stores. Same as the eagle eyes.

Most common are Whamming Water Melons and Radio Active Dragon Eyes.
