Good thing your wife don't read this id hate to lose a good reefing Friend :p

Just picked this guy up. What do you all think?

Looks like under the right lighting (High) it may form some really nice colors... I can see some colors developing at the polyp edges... that has really good potential... also that skeletal recession there.. if its just from rubbing a bag during shipping then do a 5 min Lugols dip just to be safe and if it is a slow recession then I would frag that area off to prevent it from receeding further

Thanks! I just got it from the LFS a couple days ago. It fell into another coral and got stung pretty bad at the store. I got a good deal on it so I took the chance. It looks like it is recovering very well. I feed it for the first time last night and it was very happy.

For my lugols dips I simply fill a cereal bowl with tank water then to this I add 5+ drops of lugols... I then set the colony into this dip for about 5 minutes
I constantly am dipping :) mostly when I frag a colony NOT because they are unhealthy but because our hands are irratating to them.. They really seem to like the occational dips :) the next day they are brighter and stronger than ever :)

Good stuff!

I can't believe all the great info I got in just a couple days!!

Jen hooked me up with saw info and now doc's dip!! I'm in heaven here!

thanks gang!

That was 2 months. IME--and it's limited--but once they get used to the tank--they start to grow like crazy.

Grisha, the 2nd set of pics were growth over 3 months (from feb '07 to May '07).

Mark, I don't know if it's a FR ufo, I got it from a guy in boston. I have a FR ufo also and it's very similar is also orange. though it doesn't grow as fast. I usually feed brine shrimp once or twice a week.
