I just picked these up from a fellow reefer who said these were Independence Day. Chris--I got some from you and these don't look like yours. Can you tell me if they have been morphing for you? These are under 250W 20K.

Those Both look like REALLY Nice colonies! WOW... and they seem large also I have often wondered if the Blender one was as nice in person as the pics? It looks really nice. The Independance Day one I'll try to explain... Because I really dont know for sure if it is but it does not seem to be
All micros can morph alot under different lighting and varied conditions so I usually will look for defining Charateristics or a dependable liniage trail to ID the individual names of of a morph... I have seen many other vendors try to capitalize on using "Popular" morph names from Miguel, Jen, Myself or others Like Independance day and others to ID a micro type... much the same as what occures with Zoanthids... So many eagle eyes out there but really none left that came from " The original Colony" Eagle Eye zoos today have become any zoo that has centrally radiating rings of variing colors... Arguably, an OK practice for zoos but Inappropriate for Micros I believe. I see other vendors have a morph similar to one of Jens or perhaps mine or even some of the other micro collectors and they will say "this looks like Purple Haze so I will call it Purple Haze" , Or "This looks like Independance Day so I will call it Independance Day" LOL Yes it is Blue with red But it is only Independance Day if its liniage can be traced... Same for the collectors SPS ect... The only thing that is dependable anymore is honest collectors that value the liniage trail... The other morphs are truely OH so pretty BUT no they are not the same
With the Boom in collecting Micros.. so many of Miguels, My and Jens morphs have propagated the market that ALOT of people have these morphs and are successfully cultivateing them and Heck this is the whole point of Aquaculture anyway!

The guy I got them from swears that he got it from you a while ago. He's a nice guy--so I am gonna leave it at that. They are nice--so I will just treat them great!!
As for the Blenders---They are nice--but like any micro pics--it's all about the fine detail. I have had rave reviews from my friends and peeps I have sold them to. You may have seen them on ebay. The colony pictured of mine look great because they are all perfectly round growing in a dome---If there was a micromussa textbook---that pic would be in there somewhere! That's an ideal group---but that piece is no longer with me!!!
When I chop at my Blenders--they grow to look slightly different---flatter of course because they are captives and young heads.
Edit: added--Chris, If you wanna see for yourself--I would be happy to trade somethin! I will send to you first and then you can decide what to send me!!!
