Thought I'd post some pix of my Independence Day Micro. It came in SO BLUE. It grew fast, but really lost color. Over the past few months its started to regain color - I didn't get any pix of when he's puffed out but he's a lot more blue - about 75% of what he used to be. I'd say at his low point it was only 20% of its initial blue.

(these are all taken under 10K metal halide elos bulbs)

Early on

He grew out but lost color. Eventually took over the plug

And now he's getting the color back! Such a beauty

I never get good shots of this green - but hes beautiful. I've had it for years, got it from Anthony years ago. Morphs quite a bit but always purty.

Here's one of those purple/green ones. I love this one. Its not a common strain, but I've seen it called so many different names. I probably have about 250 polyps between different names. Tempermental tho - can really turn from purple to kind of a brownish purple, but under good conditions always comes back to purple.

It's in one of the Acan thread or the thread with the blastomussa looking like this thread. The pic doesn't have the brown jelly cuz i brushed it all off. But you can see what happened to the acan as there's a before and after pic and it was 3 days later.

OK, that last remaining Pink Lemonade didn't make it. That really sucks, I was hoping that it would survive and I can grow it out. Geez, I was trying to get that morph for so long. I think I spent more time trying to buy it, then I had it.

Thats reefin...........

I just picked up a full sizes colony with about 300 plus polyps. The polyps seem to be smaller then my other micros. Could it be that wild colonies have smaller polyps because they do not receive target feeding?

here is a pic of mine...started off with 6 polyps..man i love these things i got rid of my green ones...i will be getting more soon for sure!!!!

Used to look like the one in this pic on the left. I like the old way it looked. More like a tangerine look.
