I'm Alive!!!

Well we just got power back for the time being. Prob. not for long though. There are highline poles down EVERYWHERE up here. And branches galore! Heard on the news that Butler county had more poles down than any other. I still consider us lucky though. The ouylying areas are being told 1-3 weeks before they get power back.

My powers been off for almost 2.5 days. I can't imagine what it's like to be Amish. We almost started making a quilt!

I owe everyone a HUGE THANKS!!! Jeremy and Lori I owe you guys! Thanks for letting me put my stuff in your tanks! Craig you're the man! Of course the power came back right when I started the d*mn generator! Oh well. Jason and the rockford crew thanks for getting my stuff for me.

My tank was down to 55 degrees when I pulled everything out. It made catching the fish pretty easy though. Unfort. I'm sure my tank is going to cycle due to so much dieoff so I won't get to see it in it's glory again for a while. Of course this has to happen right when everything was starting to grow good.

Def. going to be keeping an eye on generators now. You don't realize what you got until you don't have it.

Im glad to hear it. We were down from 9am to 2pm the next day so I feel fortunate. Got to give those mid american/cfu guys credit. They go 24/7 until everyone has power.

Def. props to the Mid America/CFU crew!!! :thumbsup: I heard after cfu got all there customers up they kept right on working with mid america to get everyone up and running. North of us I heard some utility companies from MN came down to help out as well! Kind of nice to see some teamwork in this crazy world of ours!

Thanks Lee not sure how long it will be. Got a lot of work to do on it now. I think I'm going to pull all the sand out and rinse it all to get all the dead bristle worms and stuff out of it. Either that or just get new sand. Not sure yet. Then I'm going to let it run for a couple days sucking up all the dead crap I can find and do a couple BIG water changes and then see how everything tests out.

If anyone ever needs any kind of favor please ask! I def. owe a lot to everyone. I just hope this next storm this week isn't as bad!

Matt= My tank has really colored up!You don't have to hurry to get anything. What are the 3 mounted corals you put on the left? I've had to relocate them twice already. Will they be Ok if I just put the plugs in the sand? My fish won't leave them alone on the rock. Let me know. Take care of you and your family!!

Is everything opening up? Or does it not look good? Is that pic from tonight? The chalice looks a little rough but the superman looks like the polyps are out on it. There should be a mounted frag towards the top middle of the tank. It's an acan lord. Does it look real poofy looking or is pretty bony looking?

Are the fish all still doing good?

The fish all eat well and seem happy (none have jumped). I don't think any of your snails made it. This pic was from last nite but the leather is much happier today. The acan lord, to me, looks like it's still adjusting. I'll pick everything that gets knocked into the sand up again tomorrow and take more pics then.
