I'm Back!!! Are these Reef safe?

Hey guys and gals. Years after I tore down my 220 gallon reef + 75 gallon refugium, I'm back at it again. Got everything plumbed again, skimmer going strong, live rock in place, and the rest of the goodies. It's time to stock the tank with snails, crabs, etc.

Looking to put an order in with liveaquaria.com through their "build your own reef cleaner packages" at this link.... http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/build_your_own_kit.cfm?id=1

As its been a while, can someone who knows better take a look at the critters at that link and let me know if they are all reef safe? I know that I'll be staying away from the Mexican Turbos although they are great algae eaters, they knock over my corals  Can anyone flag other ones on that list I should steer clear of?

Thanks in advance!

I eschew crabs...all crabs. I've had hitchhikers that come in with live mud, and I oust 'em!

I accepted microhermits, but they are growing and getting into trouble...I never had any trouble with my scarlet hermits, but they are all on parole!

The only problems I ever have with any of the scarlet/blueleg/tiny hermits is that occasionally they will kill snails for their shells when they outgrow their own and need new ones. If you provide them with empty shells, you should be fine.

Really depends do you plan on having a Sand bed? Personally Hermits I can do without but are a pretty standard for a CUC I no longer use Hermits as part of my CUC like said before too much trouble.

Turbos are fantastic in the CUC but does that out way the bull dozer like personality and I've never had success with them staying alive usally buy 5 and 2 live which they are known for being hit or miss.

Ceriths
Conch
Nass
Emeralds

Thanks for the replies! Not sure what a CUC is. Been out if the hobby a while. I have a deep sand bed. Pavestone desert play sand. Calcium based. In tank 4" and in fuge 6"

Hey sorry,

CUC = Clean up Crew!

I would definetly go with acouple of Conchs, maybe 2 emeralds and Ceriths They will all be great savangers for your sand bed and ceriths will help sift through your sand as will emerlads to some extent!

You will need more then this but its somewhere to research and start, if you arn't against hermits you could do hermits as well. But be prepared as before them yanking and stealing smail shells just like Grand Theft Auto man with less cocaine!

I have always had scarlets over other hermits when I realized they dont go after snails. My shrimp are more likely to go after snails than scarlets. They only go after the shell if the snails is already dead.

All my crabs have been model citizens, just doing what crabs do. I like them, cause they are more fun to watch than snails.
