I crazy excited about my Fathers Day present arriving tomorrow. This has to be one of the niceset Brains (Symphyllia Wilson) have ever seen. It is 5 inches across. I have to get this out now because I know someone who is going to post the most unbelievable LPS ever so this will pale by comparison.

wow thats nice! I can only hope to get something that nice for fathers day. I dont have any kids other than my dogs.... still cant hurt to wish :)

I'd adopt that kid myself! WOW!
And again..WOW!!!!
That Symphyllia is INSANE. Never ever seen one even close to that color!

Impressed,
Matthew

Poor Jimmy, if you do real well you'll get a big milk bone. But they don't talk back or ask for money every Saturday night.

What vendor is selling the coral? That is a lovely piece. The structure doesn't look like any of the S. wilsoni I have seen. Maybe my eyes are playing tricks on me because the coral isn't in great focus.

Here it is all comfortable in it's new home. Sorry about the lack of white balance, taken under 20k with my Iphone and it doesn't like the blue light.::bounce1:

Looks spectacular near that Tridacna clam. What great placement. If you don't look closely, you could almost mistake it for a Trachyphyllia brain..

Looks good! Not to take anything away from your coral because it is a beautiful specimen. But do you think they photoshopped thier picture? It does not look as red.

I would certainly hope so since pretty much every single picture we take requires some measure of post-processing.

If you're using the post-processing product as a verb implying that some sort of abnormal alteration of the picture was done in order to make it look like it shouldn't, hard to tell. It looks like a pretty decent picture to me.

Good find OP. Hopefully it does well

I would say it is close enough to call it a lighting difference. My pictures were taken with my Iphone, which has a terrible white balance when taking with bluer lights. If I took one with my real camera you would see it much closer to the suppliers picture. The red might not be as red but the blue in the middle is bluer than their picture. It is a beautiful animal!
